Police in Kawempe have arrested, and opened a murder case against a one Gideon Nabasa 32, after finding him with a dead body in a sack.
Nabasa, a private security gourd with Afri-safe Guard company was found carrying the sack on motorcycle registration number UFG 735P.
Luke Oweyesigire, the Assistant Police Spokesperson in the Kampala Metropolitan area said the suspect was arrested on Sunday, March 13 st about 0430hrs during police motorized patrol sessions in Kazo Lugoba zone, Kaazo Ward, Nabweru Division in Wakiso District.
“The officers were suspicious of what he was carrying and on asking for a search, they found a dead body of a male adult suspected to be in his early 20s in the sack and immediately arrested him.” Luke revealed.
The deceased’s body was found with two wounds which the police suspect to have come as a result of stabbing.
“A team of investigators was called in at the scene and the body was later conveyed to city mortuary Mulago for a post mortem.” He added.
Police says the suspect has not yet cooperated well to help in identifying the deceased and where he got the body from..
