Emirates hotel Mityana was flocked yesterday with thousands of guests for Bridget and Mityana Municipality MP Francis Zaake Butebi.
memorable and historical event saw the presence of ex FDC president Dr kizza Besigye who attended the mass at kiyinda Mityana diocese but failed to make it to the final event, Zaake’s fellow parliamentarians mostly from NUP headed by secretary Lewis Rubongiya and speaker Joel Ssenyonyi, FDC’s vice President also the mayor of Kampala city Erias lukwago, some NRM political leaders headed by their Mityana district chairman John kintu, religious clerics from different religions, cultural leaders, local government leaders headed by the LC5 chairman mugisha Patrick Nshimye and other constituents(local people).
The function was however interrupted by the rainfall that almost dropped for more than three hours and this delayed performances from some artists and the cut off of some speeches .
There were beams and frown on faces of many when zaake threw away a gift of ten million Ugandan shillings given to him by the speaker of parliament right honourable Anite Among even though his father Mr, Emanuel ssembuusi butebi picked them.
The reconnaissance Zaake went in action of this because he was disappointed by the speaker to whom he had forwarded his requests for wedding launch but instead went dumb and therefore there were, no need of him receiving the gift at last.
