In the meeting that was held on 22nd August at Muteesa 1 Royal University at Mengo Kampala where she’s an alumni, who graduated with Bachelor’s of arts with Education as well as Journalism and Media studies, Sharifah Namatovu pledged to fight to the worst to see the now generation have access to education.
Sharifah who attended to the meeting via teleconference said that the conspicuousness of the matter forced her to at least attend to the organisers via modern.
“I’m a Busujju born so I find this Important I couldn’t take it for granted and therefore you should also note that the only start is making Busujju great by the unity”.…. said Sharifah;
The justification for the meeting was purposely to find the ways on how the students of higher institution in Uganda from Busujju county of Buganda kingdom can revive education and it was attended by the youth students from Busujju county who are from higher institutions, including Muteesa 1 Royal University, Buganda Royal institute, Kampala International University, Kyambogo University, Makerere University, and Ndejje University.
In the meeting they attuned on visiting PTA committees in Busujju, to encourage guidance and counseling among the students, teachers, parents, and to emphasize skills such as hairdressing, tailoring, welding, carpentry, construction among the youth, to reduce on the rate of school drop outs in Busujju, as well as connect their fellows from Busujju to scholarship, half bursaries and full bursaries in higher institutions of learning. This is to purposely ease education for meager people and curb the number of uninformed in Busujju county.
During the same meeting, the current chairman of the ad hoc committee Mr Ssozi Micheal alias Munnabusujju owensonga said: ” strategic plan for the issue was made and 2022 educational report in our 1st summit held in mengo at Justice forum headquarters, we emphasized social and economic development of our county and we are not political.”
Ms. Justine Nakitto was appointed to serve as the general Secretary of Busujju students forum and other representatives were made mobilizers of the forum for it’s score as they are meant to prepare for the elections of the real committee that will seriously fuel the move.
Busujju is a locality in Central Uganda and has an elevation of 1,234 metres. It’s is situated near Kalezi, and west of Kande .
As a constituency in Uganda it’s represented by Hon. David kalwanga lukyamuzi.
The county’s headquarters are found in mwera busujju and it’s headed by kasujju.
