The just sworn in Mukono municipality member of parliament Betty Bakireke Nambooze has shown concern for her safety while carrying out her duties in the 11th parliament.

While taking her oath today at the parliament of Uganda, Nambooze reminisced on the parliament ruckus that happened in 2018 and revealed she is worried for her life.
” Last time I came with my two legs and left with three. Hope this time round you won’t cut off my head” she said
It should be remembered that in 2018, during the constitution amendment of the age limit removal, Nambooze was one of the opposition members that were beaten by SFC commanders. Her backbone was broken in the scuffle and she spent many days in a wheelchair.
Today, she is one of the 131 members of the 11th parliament that sworn in at the Ugandan parliament.
This is going to be her third term since her first term election in 2010 when she came victorious in a bye election on DP ticket defeating the then incumbent NRM member Rv. Bakaluba Mukasa
