Leon Island CEO, Musician turned politician Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleon has publically announced that he has always belonged to the National Resistance Movement (NRM)

In a viral video making rounds, the baliwa singer said he is a prodigal son in NRM who has went astray but has found his way back home.
“….. The greatest witness can be Mr. Toyota. My friend, I am still your family. I am still NRM. I am not anywhere….If you doubt that, put up your cameras and record that on me. I am still NRM..” He said in presence of NRM officials led by President Museveni’s brother Nzeire Kaguta also known as Toyota.
Celebrating his comeback, Chameleon was presented with a brand new Range Rover sport from President Museveni.
Chameleon is a former Lord Mayor aspirant who stood on an independent card early this year after National Unity Platform (NUP) endorsed Nabilah Naggayi Ssempala and denied him the party ticket.
He came number three in the mayoral elections.
