Campaigns for candidates in the Uganda Musicians Association’s elections which are scheduled for 23rd May 2022 have been kicked off by the incumbent Cindy Sanyu, who visited the Northern Region as a start.
The singer who has been Association president for a year and plus now, went to the West Nile to talk to musician voters, to ask them tick her name on the ballot paper. She and her team, made up of Hanson and Phina Mugerwa gathered their supporters at Heritage Park Hotel in Aruba city and unveiled her manifesto.
Her manifesto is made up of unity among musicians, lobbying for an independent body or ministery for the music industry and pushing Ugandan content to the internal space
The singer is contesting against King Saha who was endorsed by Bobi Wine and most NUP supporters.
