Kampala city Lordmayor, His Worship, Erias Lukwago has turned down the juicy offer by the state minister For Kampala Hajjat Hamisa Kabanda to meet him with President Museveni.
This happened on a political TV show both featured in where the minister proposed to him to have a slight meeting with mr. Museveni for better planning and development of Kampala.
Captain Francis babu who featured in the same show seconded the proposal and offered to lead him.
Lukwago declined the sham meeting asserting that it can not have any positive punctuation to the city transformation since there are elected leaders in kampala including Mayors and councilors.
Lukwago advised him to come and meet all of them at City Hall.
“This is not the private matter to be discussed at state house, he should come at City Hall and meet all elected leaders” he said
He said this at the official closure of Makidye Division Councilors induction at Rider Hotel Seeta. He further asked fellow city leaders to wholly embrace the proposal for a mending the law in good faith .
He further appealed to government to offer at least 3% of the National Budget to the capital city development specifically funding the infrastructure improvement including Street lighting , drainage master plan paving roads And establishing affordable workplaces among other.
