Nelson Adieu, son to former MP, bukoli county and former leader of opposition in Parliament Waffula Oguttu has succumbed to Sickle cell anemia.
The 31 year old died at Kampala hospital today afternoon.
” Adieu Son, Nelson, You have had a good flight for 31 years. Rest in peace,” Waffula Oguttu shared the sad news.
Political personalities have joined Oguttu in mourning his son.
Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago shared: ” What a bad day: Comrade Wafula Oguttu loosing a son,”
” Very sad news! Uncle Wafula Oguttu we stand with you in this very trying moment! RIP Nelson.” Deputy Lord Mayor Doreen Nyanjula said.
Oguttu is one of the founding members of Forum for Democratic Change(FDC).
The funel mass will be held tomorrow at St. Charles Lwanga Catholic Church in Ntunda at 2Pm. The hearse will later depart for Bugiri where the deceased will be laid to rest on Monday.
