The Inter-Religious Council of Uganda has advised the Government of Uganda to digitize vaccination cards and certificates in order to beat forgery.
While addressing the press at the office of the Inter-Religious Council, Dr. Steven Kazimba Mugalu, the Chairperson of the Inter-Religious Council advised the Government to adopt digital vaccination cards and certificates.
“We wish to encourage the Government to digitize the vaccination cards and stickers because there is already a challenge. So they need to digitize the vaccination cards and stickers is necessary. We remind our leaders that children under 12 years and vulnerable should remain at home.”
The advice came after the Health Monitoring Unit from statehouse arrested three members of staff, of Al Saud Agency on allegations of forging covid cards and selling them at UGX 150,000 each.
He also revealed that worship grounds are free and can be used for vaccination.
