National Unity Platform president Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has opened up on his side in the upcoming Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) elections that have since been postponed twice due to political issues.
The singer turned into a politician, told a local TV station in town that he has no side in the elections. To him, the government is engineering disunity between the artists to prevent other musicians from joining his cause.
“Government wants to divide us so they are putting us against each other. They want you to believe that King Saha is for one party, and Cindy is for another. This is a bad situation they are creating. They don’t care about artists. They want to kill this industry because they know by promoting the music industry, another person like me will emerge,” he said.
Bobi Wine endorsed King Saha months ago as Bebe Cool endorsed Cindy. Since his endorsement, UMA has been disorganized to date.
