The state Minister for higher education Mr.John Chrysostom Muyingo has lifted a ban on visitation days and also authorized the use of mobile phones by learners in schools.

Mr. Muyingo says the use of phones by students will be implemented after the government develops a policy that will guide the use of information and communication technology (ICT) gadgets by learners.
He has also ordered all schools that had authorized their students to use smartphones to stop with immediate effect.
Government had put a stop to parents visiting their children in boarding schools in order to restrain the spread of covid-19.
