The traffic Police of Kayabwe has today morning, December 26, at around 7:00 am, registered a fatal accident at Kibukuta Swamp along the Kampala Masaka highway that claimed the lives of five people.
Faridah Nampiima the police Spokesperson on traffic and road safety reveals that the accident was caused by two over speeding vehicles, a Toyota Hiance registration number UBM 489B and a Mercedes Benz number UAM445B which were moving from Kampala side to Masaka.
“Both vehicles were coming from the same direction and the Mercedes Benz was overtaking in a terrible speed and when it lost control, knocked the toyota Hiance which went off road and over turned and the Benz over turned too,” Faridah said
Police has not yet identified the three female adults and the two male adults who were passengers in the Toyota Hiance (All deceased). However, five unknown victims were rushed to Nkozi Hospital all from the Benz.
