Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Football Club have refused to comply with the ongoing fixtures of the Uganda Premier League, hinting that there are some irregularities in match scheduling.

The table leaders through their Executive Officer, Mr. Anisha Shahil Muhoozi, wrote a letter to the League Executive Council revealing their plans of shunning the game till the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) comes to their rescue.
“Reference is made to your circular on several rescheduled matches circulated on various socal media channels over weekend where in KCCCA FC is destined to play the game against Onduparaka on Thursday 3rd February 2022 at Bombo military Grounds.
“We are here by guid that we are unable to honot this fixture as we await determination of our appeal presented to the FUFA appeals body,” part of the letter reads.
The earlier game which was played on 27th December 2021 didn’t end because Onduparaka fans stormed the pitch protesting against an injury time penalty which was awarded to KCCA FC and the game ended in a 2-3 tie.
FUFA, which is in this case the Disciplinary Committee contrary to the rules and regulations which would have seen Onduparaka lose the game by forfeiture to KCCA and also more points deducted, ordered for full time replay and referee Ronald Madanda given a six month ban.
Onduparaka were deducted two points and as many goals, handed a suspended closed stadium game ban, player Rashid Okocha was banned until may 2022 while Onduparaka CEO suspended for 30 days.
KCCA FC feels that they deserved to be awarded all points since it was not in their own doing that the match was abandoned.
