Residents in Rakai district, Kooki County (Ssaza of Buganda) which has been Proclaimed by the Kamuswaga Ssansa Kabumbuli II as an Independent Kingdom (Obukama bwa Kooki), have urged President Museveni to stop what they have Called “Kamuswaga’s Raid against Buganda Kingdom”
Muhwiga Kitayimbwa and Bagenda Ssenfuka who claim to be related to the Kamuswaga of Kooki (Ababiito) have been in Parts of Lwanda-Kooki Rakai District with other People of Kooki where they have met the Delegation from Bulange Mengo led by Baker Ssejjengo the Youth Leader in Buganda Kingdom and told them that no one is in support of Kamuswaga’s acts amongst themselves.
“People of Kooki have Clans with origins of Buganda, the follow the Buganda Culture, Kabaka and the Kingdom of Buganda is in Our Hearts, we are not behind Kamuswaga Acts” they explained.
They also put it Clear that the Army that Brutalizes the People and other Evil Acts is backed up by Government.
“Kamuswaga can’t Command the Army to Harm us, let President Museveni tell us what we did to him. The Police and all the Guns are controlled by the President. Who told him that we prefer Kamuswaga to Kabaka?” they Yearned.
Another Ugandan with origins from Kooki-Rakai district of Uganda, Ssekitende Elisa Nicholas (Journalist) has also Petitioned the President to stop the Situation that is Persisting in Kooki, denying the people their Freedom to Culture.
