The Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has cautioned the new elected speaker and councilors to respect capital city council because it is the face of the country.
This he said while addressing the newly elected councilors during the elections of KCCA speaker and Deputy Speaker early today at City hall.
“Don’t behave like your in a village council because this is an important institution next to parliament. It is not easy to preside over council meetings but we pray Allah guides you accordingly. Respect the rule of procedures of this council because it is virtual while Charing such meetings,” Lukwago said
He went ahead and urged councilors to unite in making Kampala a better city in the next five years.
“Let us change Kampala into the best city in Africa without floods, free garbage city with well facilitated hospitals, good roads, better schools and many others.

Nasur Masaba was announced Deputy Speaker by her Worship the Magistrate Marian Ayo Akello.
