Mukono Municipality Member of Parliament, Hon. Betty Nambooze Bakireke has earlier today survived attack from unknown panga wielding man.

Through a video making rounds on Social Media, emotional Nambooze tells the ordeal she went through during the attack.
Nambooze narrates that she woke up early morning to prepare for the Shadow meeting parliamentary session and realized that all lights in her room were off yet the bulbs in the rest of the rooms were still on.
Her husband, Mr. Bakireke had gone to the sitting room for his daily morning prayer session so Nambooze was left in the bedroom seated on the bed.
“I was seated on my bed when I saw a man standing in my room, I jumped to the bathroom and closed myself inside. He came and told me to move out quickly. I don’t know why I obeyed the murderer, I got out. He told me ‘say your last prayers I am going to kill you.’ I got the strength well knowing what I was trying to do was impossible because It is hard for my voice to reach anyone out of the room.” She narrates in tears
Nambooze says she shouted for help from her husband as the attacker continued to tell her to say her last prayers.
She however managed to survive when the man escaped after hearing the footsteps of people coming into the room.
According to her, the panga wielding thug used the space she had left for her neighbor to use as a compound to access her home.
