I would like to tell everybody that the Quran teaches us how we can get to development
The Iran Cultural Chancellor in Uganda, Alhaji Mohammad Reza Ghezelsofla has advised Muslim students to make use of the Quran in developing Uganda because it has got all the solutions to the life challenges anyone can think about under the sun.
He said this during the 2021 students’ Quran competition that happened at Al- Mustafa Islamic college in Kajjansi on Sunday.
“….The holy Quran is the most comprehensive advanced hospital. For any problem mankind has, the solution is located inside the Quran. Financial problem, Family problem, social problem, physical problem, any kind of sickness, AIDS, Ebola and cancer, the solution is inside the Quran so we have to go inside the Quran, search and get the solution/ medicine and come back. We have every solution inside the holy Quran.” He said
The cultural Chancellor added: “The holy Quran is the foundation of Islam. We have to try our best to put it into practice. Quran is for development. I would like to tell everybody that the Quran teaches us how we can get to development. Quran is the source of development and Unity. Quran emphasizes us to be United because unity brings development..Try to implement what ever you have learned for the development of Uganda.”
He further urged believers to always stand together with oppressed Nations like Palestine as declared by the late Imam Khomeini, the leader of the Islamic revolution in Iran.
Speaking at the same occasion, His Eminence, sheikh Mohammad Ali Waiswa, the deputy Mufti of Uganda praised Quran competition organizers and reciters for crowning the holy Month of Ramadan with Quran competitions.
He however proposed that the competitions be advanced so that the entire nation gets to participate in them.”We have Bilal radio and we have opened our channel of TV, we can as well transmit this so that it covers the rest of the parts of the country, so that many of the people can also participate In Shaa Allah so that many of the people can be part of this.”
Hon. Hajat Aisha Kabanda, woman member of parliament elect for Butambala district requested stakeholders to empower Islamic leaders to serve the Ugandan community through different workshops and seminars.
The event was also graced by the presence of Ambassador of Iran to Uganda, His Excellency Seyed Mohammad MirHoseeini and had over ninety participants from forteen secondary schools and six Universities
