Mukono municipality legislator, Betty Nambooze Bakireke has cried for the new Forum for Democratic deputy president Buganda Region, Erias Lukwago for leaving her behind.
Through her write up on one of her social media platforms Facebook while congratulating Kampala Lordmayor Erias Lukwago, Nambooze expressed that she would have been happier if she and Lukwago were in the same political party.
“My brother Erias Lukwago I have heard that your colleagues at FDC have honoured “US” by appointing you their Vice president with special assignment to oversee Buganda region. This is a good piece of news… congratulations Ssebo……..yes we are two great siblings and Political friends but each of us chose a different opposition political sub_group…… I conceede though, that I would have been happier if you and I were in one Opposition political subset , still at comforted with the fact that we are pushing in the same direction and against a single enemy forces” Hon Nambooze said
She further tasked Lukwago to resolve the sibling misunderstandings between opposition parties.
“Yes we are two great siblings and Political friends but each of us chose different opposition political sub_group, it’s incumbent upon the two of us to respect each other’s decision And sensitize supporters from each side to strain them selves through action and inaction to minimize on this perceived beefing” She said .
It should be noted that his inauguration speech as the new FDC Deputy President Buganda, Erias Lukwago urged FDC party members to build bridges with other political agents seeking for change.
Hon Nambooze reminded FDC to stay in their Lane not to antogonise NUP since their target to change government requires joint efforts .
“FDC owe us a recognition that NUP stands stronger than any other party in Buganda today and We are now the leader of opposition in parliament. We should therefore target the thirty five constituencies represented by NRM and not open up wars in the over fifty constituencies conquered by NUP. ….. We pray that we don’t get tempted to antagonize each other , our target that require joint efforts is to completely edge NRM out of this region” Hon Nambooze said.
