Francis Peter Ojede, the Executive Director of the Uganda National Cultural Centre (UNCC) has officially given office to chairperson, National Culture Forum, Daniel Kazibwe alias Ragga Dee at a rent free cost at the Uganda National Culture Centre.

According to Ojede, UNCC not only has to work closely with Arts and Culture institutions, but also get access and time to discuss their issues that help in the development of the sector.
He adds that UNCC is to meet all the functional costs for NCF as it gradually grows.
“We chose that for the start, they start for free, probably as they grow, they will see whether they will also be able to support us when they for example get partners,” he said.
Daniel Kazibwe alias Raga Dee, the Chairperson of NCF assured effective collaboration with UNCC in order to promote Art and Culture.
“Our cardinal duty is to now register artists and make sure that all artists converge and discuss our odds, support government policy, promote Art and Culture in the country as well as working very closely with other sectors with whom we are domains under the National Culture Policy.” He said
The National Culture Forum (NCF) is a private sector led body registered as anon-profit Company limited by guarantee with aboard of 9 members, which is supported by a Secretariat.
The National Culture Policy 2006 provides for it as the private sector led body to promote the participation of civil society and the private sector in the implementation of the culture policy. It was rejuvenated in 2019 and incorporated in 2021 as the apex body for all associations in the Culture and Creative Industries.
