Kampala Lordmayor his Worship Erias Lukwago has argued the Ugandan parliament to prioritize the construction of Silos across the country while making a budget.
Silos are structure for storing bulk materials, Agricultural store or fermented feed foods.
” …They should prioritize the construction of Silos. These will help in the storage of grain and other fermented foods for a longer time”. He said
He emphasized this in relation to safe storage of the food before it’s distribution and consumption.
The Muslims at Nakasero Mosque led by Amir Ummah Sheik Yunus Kamoga for some time have been collecting food relief items to be extended to the Vulnerable who are in directive need both during and post the Covid_19 period.
They also unveiled the team of well trained Muslims who will safeguard dignified send_offs while handling the mortal remains of Muslims who succumb to Covid_19. Handling of dead bodies is the object of specific rules that aim at ensuring the dignity and respect of the dead but the guidelines issued by the Ministry violated all that.
