The Parliament of Uganda is set to resume plenary sittings on Thursday, two days after it was put on hold by Deputy Speaker, Anita Among.

The Clerk to Parliament Adolf Mwesige, confirmed the resume of business through a notice addressed to Members of Parliament.
“This is to give you notice that Parliament of Uganda will resume plenary sittings with effect from tomorrow Thursday, 18th November 2021, commencing at 2.00p.m.
Plenary sittings were suspended after twin explosions happened in Kampala on Tuesday Morning. One of the blasts occurred at Parliamentary Avenue, about 200 meters away from the main gate of parliament. The LOP Mathias Mpuuga was seen evacuating through the back door of the Parliament.
