On Friday, 3rd, September, Police at Katwe has reported the arrest of two suspects accused of killing Tadeo Magembe 48, a truck driver.
Magembe had been reported missing at Later Police by his brother Gerald Balimutajji on 30th, July, 2021.
Their arrest came after police traced phone records of the deceased’s phone which was found with the suspects.
According to the Deputy Public Relations Officer Kampala Metropolitan Asp Luke Oweyesigyire, the arrested are both fishermen at Gaba landing site.
“The arrested suspects, both fishermen at Gaba landing site claim that while they were with the driver, now presumed dead, he allegedly jumped off a boat.” He said
Luke adds that their silence after the claimed incident rose suspicions that they could have murdered him.
