Uganda Police spokesperson Fred Enanga confirmed late Saturday that one person was one killed and seven others injured in a blast which occurred on Saturday 23, at around 9 Pm, at Digida eating point, Komamboga, in Kawempe Division, Kampala.
It was confirmed that the blast saw the death of one young woman and others fatally wounded and admitted in the serious explosion.
“One person has been fatally wounded and 7 others rushed to Mulago National Referral hospital, with serious injuries.
The scene has been cordoned off, and our joint task teams from the bomb squad called to thoroughly document the scene, to help determine whether the explosion arose out of an intentional act or not.” Enanga confirmed
Police further urged the public to remain calm as they establish the true circumstances surrounding the incident.
On October 14, the UK warned Uganda of an imminent terror attack in Uganda.
