Ugandans are in grief after losing another influential figure, the former minister of Ethics and integrity Father Simon Lokodo.

According to Uganda Human Rights Commission, where he was working, Lokodo passed on from Geneva in Switzerland.
“It’s with great shock and pain that we‘ve learnt of the passing of our Honourable Member of the Commission, Fr. Simon Lokodo. He passed on this morning in Geneva Switzerland. The Commission will share details in due course.
May the Almighty Rest His Soul in Eternal Peace.” The commission announced in a post.
After his death was confirmed and announced, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni took to his tweeter and praised the former Minister’s gallant skills in restoring culture and morality in Uganda.
“I have received the news of Hon Fr Simon Lokodo’s death with a heavy heart. Fr Lokodo served the nation gallantly as our Ethics & Integrity Minister during which his firmness against immorality & his desire to enforce culture exceedingly stood out. I am pained! He will be missed,” He shared
Lokodo’s death comes a few days after the death Emmanuel Mutebile who was the governor of the bank of Uganda.
