According to Martin Ssempa, priests who want to serve God while married should be granted the opportunity.

He says priests wanting to start homes yet they are supposed to be celibate has become a big challenge yet not all priests are blessed with the spirit of celibacy.
“..A certain principle should be changed. Fathers who can not be celibate should be allowed to get married and serve God at the same time,” he said during a television interview on why religious leaders are falling short of God’s glory.
His comment comes after a Masaka based socialite accused a UK based Ugandan Catholic priest of using and dumping her.
While the priest identified her as a maid, the socialite said she had been receiving conjugal visits from the priest and together, they have children.
In January 2021, news circulated that Archbishop Stanley Ntagali had impregnated a married woman.
In 2013, celebrity Catholic priest Anthony Musaala wrote an open later to bishops calling for the abolition of celibacy.
