Yesterday’s Champions League final clash between Spanish giants Real Madrid and English side Liverpool, at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, France, ended Mo Salah’s hope for a Ballon’dor as the Marcelo Garcia captained team rose to glory in a 1-0 win.

Despite the tight pressing and vigorous attacks from the Jurgen Klopp-led side, the “white angels” kept the cool till they capitalized on one of their few counterattacks and hit the back of the net through Vinicius Junior in the 59th minute.
The confusing offside goal from Madrid’s netter Karim Benzema left fans cursing the Video Assistant Referee(VAR) but built the hope for the white-fashioned team.
Liverpool’s tough attacking line made up of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Diaz Luiz kept Thibaut Courtois busy but sharp enough to let any ball get passed his gloves.
Real Madrid has now gathered 14th Champions League titles, a record that is not easy to break.
