All members of the shadow cabinet and Opposition whips are set to meet today (Tuesday) to decide whether to continue or end the plenary sittings boycott.

The Shadow Minister of Information and Anti-corruption, Hon Joyce Bagala revealed on Monday that the final decision was to be made today during the shadow cabinets meeting.
” We know that many Ugandans are asking about the opposition boycott and when it’s going to end but this is something I can not tell you right now because the Shadow cabinet is going to sit tomorrow and those are the matters were going to discuss,” she revealed.
Adding, “We will tell the public whether or not we are lifting the boycott. What we want for our colleagues and the rest of Ugandans is a fair trial, we want justice for everyone and that is what we are still pursuing so whatever comes of the shadow cabinet meeting tomorrow, we will be able to communicate to the public.” She revealed on Monday
The opposition has boycotted Parliamentary sittings since last week following the unjust rearrests of Kawempe North Legislator Muhammad Ssegirinya and Allan Ssewanyana of Makindye West.
