The Board of the East African Business Council (EABC) has named Simon Kaheru as the acting chairperson.
The announcement was made by Madhvani group’s Jim Kabeho, former chairman during an EABC members meeting at Sheraton Kampala Hotel.

Kaheru’s appointment came after Jim Kabeho stepped down to set the stage for a transaction.
Kabeho was also uplauded for his 22 years of service to the East African Business Council.
The East African Business Council is the regional Apex body of private sector associations and corporates in East Africa with a single purpose of driving the East African Community integration process through trade and Investment.
The EABC board consists of UMA chairperson Barbara Mulwana, Jim Kabeho from Madhvani group, Jason Stuart Mwesigwa from roofings group and Simon Kaheru of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa.
