Two bombs exploded in Kampala on Tuesday morning after suicide bombers detonated explosives at Parliament Avenue and Central Police Station (CPS).
Faridah Nakyeyune (not real name) an employee at Kampala Capital City Authority narrates how she survived.
“I was at my boss’s office when we heard the first explosion, because many buildings collapse these days, We thought it was another poorly constructed buil
I thought about going out to see which building had collapsed and it was not long when another explosion happened. We had to run for our dear lives. Fire alarms took over the building but some people were still seated, asking what the noise was about.
It was a rush hour but to my surprise, the people who had come to get COVID-19 jabs were still standing comfortably in line.
We rushed for our lives through the back entrance and I saw casualties being brought in to the KCCA clinic, I also saw the Leader of Opposition being rushed out through the back door of the Parliament which connects to the Prime Minister’s office.
I thank God one of my superiors gave me a lift home.” She said.
