Singer Cindy Sanyu has assured her fans that she will remain the winner of the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) elections despite their cancellation last Monday.

The incumbent is sure that she had got many supporters and even if the elections are organized physically, she will bag the position with such a large margin.
Talking to journalists last night, she said she was disappointed in the cancellation because she was leading, right from the start.
“I was disappointed when the elections were canceled because I was leading right from the beginning. Jeff was threatened and concerning his life, he had to cancel the election because they could beat him up. And I think the result is still going to remain the same even after they organize another election.” She said.
Cindy was leading with a large margin and this led to protest.
