Police in Kassanda is on a search for three individuals, two men and one woman, who allegedly stole a 2 months old baby boy from his mother.

The baby’s mother, Donatia Muleleneza, a resident of Mugoba B village, Mundafe parishin Kitumbi Sub-county, Kassanda district, narrated to the police that on February 14, Her baby was forcefully taken from her by unknown people after one of them kicked her.
She told the Police that she took her baby to the clinic at Bulimimula trading centre, Mundade parish, Kitumbi sub-county for treatment because he had woken up with a skin infection.
“Muleleneza set off from her home together with her child at around 12:00pm and went while footing up to the clinic and reached at around 4pm. When she reached there, the doctor examined the child and gave her directives accordingly. She then left the clinic.” Said Police Spokesperson in Wamala region, ASP Kawala Racheal.
“On her way back home, Muleleneza met unidentified people, two men and one woman, in the swamp of new forest company standing alongside the road who pretended to know her and started congratulating her to have given birth to the baby.
They requested her to uncover the baby such that they could see it but she declined since she didn’t know them. ASP Kawala added
One of the men kicked her and she fell down. This is when the woman and the other man grabbed the child from her and took off through the forest. Donatia tried following them but failed to trace them.
