Saudi Arabia has agreed to aid in fighting human trafficking and improving on standards of living for Ugandan workers in Saudi Arabia, following stories related to the vice

In visit Hon. Betty Amongi’s visit to Saudi Arabia, the minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development hinted that the two countries discussed how to end such vices and improve working conditions for the workers. She posted on her social media handles about this.
We concluded our mission to Saudi Arabia. Heard horrifying as well as success stories. Concrete strategies agreed btn our two governments on enforcing the rights of workers; I will update the country early next week on key issues and measures…,” Amongi tweeted.
Over the years, stories from Ugandans narrating their disparities have been the talk of the streets. Despite the huge sums of money that these workers get from Saudi Arabia, many lives have been lost after some of them were trafficked and persecuted.
