Uganda is considering the armament of traffic police following an incident where a traffic police Robert Mukebezi of Ntinda Police Station was shot by an Uganda People’s Defence Forces(UPDF) was shot.
Condemning the act a few days ago, Police spokesperson Fred Enanga hinted that the force is considering letting the traffic police have guns for protection.

According to reports, several countries in Europe have armed traffic police to protect them from unruly drivers and motorists.
