Ugandan short films “Dog City” and “Bread Winner” have won the Best Jury Award and Documentary respectively at the MidSouth Black Film Festival in the United States of America (USA).

The festival which started from 23rd June to 26th June announced the two movies, winners of the above-mentioned categories.
Talking to the media, the producer, Ssentongo Sinan thanked God for the blessings and asked filmmakers to work harder to uplift the industry.
“I am pleased for this award and I thank God for this award. If all filmmakers in Uganda would so hard for the betterment of the industry, many more awards would be coming in,” he said.
Ssentongo Sinan is a renowned producer, film director, and cinematographer based in Kampala. He has worked on several other movies including Stay, Ghetto Exodus, Uganda In My Eyes and was also part of “Akapapula”.
