Doreen Mirembe, the producer of a trending movie Kaffa Coh, awaiting official premiere on 8th October this year, has challenged Ugandans to show love to Ugandan movies by showing up for the premiere of her movie at Cinemax Century, Acacia Mall.
Talking to Ugabuzz, the producer, writer and actress said the movie was done on high budgets with quality technology and experienced actors and actresses, and therefore it deserves an eye.
“Trust me, Ugandans need to see this. They have always wanted something of good quality with good technology, so let them come on 8th October at Cinemax Century, Acacia Mall. I am sure this is one of the best movies this year.” She said.
Written by Musa Luswata and Doreen Mirembe, the movie features Mariam Ndagire, Abby Mukibii, Charles Mulekwa, Peter Odeke, Rehema Nanfuka, Patrick Nkakalukanyi Oyenbot, Michael Wawuyo Snr, Michael Wawuyo jr, Kalu Ikeagwu(from Nigeria), Doreen Mirembe, Philip Luswata, and Vladimir Stephano.
It is based on a story of the fight for power at the behest of justice. The fight hijacks a young naïve lawyer, Atika Sandra who finds herself in the center of a battleground.
