The Uganda Musicians Association UMA Electoral Commission has responded to King Saha(Mansur Ssemanda) who claimed that the elections organizing body is planning to rig votes in favour of Cindy Sanyu, who is the incumbent.

The (UMA) Electoral Commission Chairman, Goeffrey Jeff Ekongot, told journalists yesterday that this will not happen because the system will be put up in the open for everything one to see.
“No! System will be put out for everyone to see. Each of them can be there to witness everything. We have even started testing the system so that all registered members are verified before the anticipated date…,” He said.
Earlier, the mwana gwe singer hinted on the register that the electoral commission gave him. He claimed that it has been updated yet he does have the updated version.
“They gave me a register but continued to register new voters and I am worried that by the time we vote they will be having another one…,” he said.
To which he added by calling all artists to check for their names in the register.
So I call upon all musicians to come out and check their names on the new register to vote well when the time comes…,” he said.
