Singer Allan Toniks has observed that the only problem that the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) has faced is the two singers Cindy Sanyu and Phina Masanyalaze, whom she thinks have become unpopular over time and the musicians are fed up with them.

The “romantic” singer said that the two had turned the association into a political arena. He says Cindy’s decision to overstay in power has since angered Ugandans.
“I think UMA’s problem is Phina Masanyalaze and Cindy. People do not trust them anymore. Is it fair for only two people to retard the success of the whole association? They have made the elections political which bored people.” He said.
“People did not protest because the electoral commission had not done its work well, they did because these were people not happy with the results.” He added.
Several people have supported the cancellation of the elections. The likes of King Saha, Sheebah, Toniks, and many more.
