Goodlyfe artist Douglas Mayanja aka Weasel Manizo, has shown discontent after Nigerian Star, Chike sang one of the goodlyfe songs during his performance at Serena Hotel in a night with Chike.
During his performance, Chike payed tribute to fallen Ugandan star Radio when he sang “Breath away,” a song by the goodlyfe.
No matter how the breathtaking the performance was, Weasel was not amazed, he instead wondered why he was not talked to first before Chike did the song.
“Ugandan Events Organisers Why do you invite international Artists to come and perform our own songs without consulting us ??????? WTF Lwaki mutujjooga nyoo man?” He posted on his Social Media.
Fans who saw his behavior wired tried explaining to him that it was only a tribute as it’s still February, a month when Mozey breathed his last.
Weasel who seamed not to care continued, “There is no one we can refuse to give rights to perform or pay tribute to our very own as long as you go through the right channels …. Show some Respect. come inquire & Ask for permission… If Wizkid, Rudeboy Psquare can come and ask for permission then who are you? I think we have been too silent we gonna start going abit Hard on this thing”
His fans again came in to prove that he is only jealous.
A one Josh Ug said: “Radio & Weasel it’s out of love for Ugandan Music, but apart from Being the best on African continent what other reason makes you hate Nigerians??”
“I don’t know why Ugandan artists hate Nigerians singing ur songs it’s out of love not hate people do it everyday in dea houses clubs on many occasions but it’s out of love no big feeling on this” Gedta Johns said
Shine Swtlyf also commented “Radio became a national treasure… His shine shudnt be limited no more .. It wasnt a re”do or anything ov dat sort.. guess tributes cement his legacy more”
