It is with no doubt, journalists have this year defied the notion that says that they never commit. You and I have witnessed them taking a break from the news fields, desktops in their newsroom and walking down the aisle.

A year that seemed hopeless because of the covid-19 pandemic has been the most romantic to journalists as some of them found love, while others made their long time love relationships official.

BBS Telefayina’s ‘Omutindo’ and ‘Yewange’ show host Dhalin Sandra Namatovu officiated the love celebrations with her pre-visit ceremony in January when she introduced her now husband Kevin, to her parents. In March, 2021 Sandra did the a colorful official introduction ceremony and before everyone knew it, she was officially off the shelf. Sources say the couple is expecting a new member of their family.

Getting married was one of Judithiana Namazzi’s 2021 resolutions. Behold, the Pearl Magic gyekiri host’s wedding happened in January. Even though she was first hesitant about sharing the pictorial with her fans and followers, Namazzi aka Mrs. Ndugwa could not keep her fairy tale wedding to herself. Social Media in-laws confirmed her absence from single town after she shared her wedding pictures.

Again in April, NTV host Raymond Mujuni proposed to his workmate Rita Kanya in a private, colorful and romantic setting with Happy Kyazze on the saxophone.

In May, Raymond was introduced to Ritah’s parents in a pre-visit ceremony. After a series of introduction ceremonies, Mujuni treated Ritah to a surprise bridal shower. They made their vows at Serena hotel Kigo, in presence of their families, workmates and friends.

NTV Sports journalist Joel Khamadi and his then fiance, now wife Connie did their introduction and said I do in a colorful ceremony in September.

Again in September, NTV journalist John Cliff Wamala said I do to his fiance Saphira Nahabwe Rweizire at Namirembe Cathedral.
Saphira first introduced Cliff to her parents in Ngarama, Isingiro District.

After postponing dates for their marriage ceremony because of covid-19, excited Alex Esagala aka bba wa mercy tied the knot with his long term girlfriend Mercy Nalintya at Speke Resort Munyonyo. Their marriage ceremony was graced with the presence of bigwigs like Sudhir Ruparelia, Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago among others.

Like it was an order from Nation Media administrators for their employees to make their relationships official, NTV news anchor Frank Walusimbi was introduced by his Fiance, Flavia in an introduction ceremony.

Spark TV gossip girl Rehema Nakitto aka Precious Remmie was treated to a surprise engagement this very year.
